A ten day beer festival held in various public houses. The event kicks off with a waymarked cycle ride over varying distances with free ale served at checkpoints. The following weekend sees the same event take place minus the bikes.

On the 26th March 2008 the Fédération International de L'Automobile approved a date change for the 15th and final round of the FIA World Rally Championship so as to avoid potential clashes with events at Cardiff's MIllenium Stadium. The event will now begin on Thursday 4th December and conclude on Sunday 7th December.
